Remember when I discussed fashion as art? Well, now I’m modeling it first hand. This shirt is the Art as Fashion Bovey Lee x Girlfriends Material collaboration. Not familiar with Bovey Lee? Well, just take a look at this. She is a cut paper artist, which means she cuts artwork directly out of rice paper. She is a very talented artist and you can out more about her here.
Imagine my excitement when she lent her skills to the fashion world for this collaboration. You can see all of her designs at Girlfriends Material. And while you’re there, take a look around at the rest of their collections. Everything is very affordable, versatile, and easy to wear.
As for my outfit, I’ve been wanting to branch out a bit. I feel like I’ve been a little too safe lately, so I wanted to create something a little more avant garde. So I went with Zana Bayne leather wings. I paired it with a black mini skirt and snake pumps.
What do you think of my edgy look?
You’re totally rocking this. I love it! SUPERMODEL!
Hehe. Thank you! I felt like a total dork with the families all outside playing football in the street and celebrating Easter. Oh well, at least I got the shots I wanted!
You’re looking a little bit dangerous there Lindsay but I like it! It’d be fun to style this in all kinds of different ways. Btw, I adore those shoes!
You don’t even know, Rach. Actually you probably know best! I have more than a little danger inside of me. Now I just need a nickname to run around with Danger Mouse!
Like I said badass fabulous
rock it girl!
Heheh! Thanks, Amber!
I love this outfit – I’ve been wanting a pair of my own Zanya wings. :}
Thanks, Stephanie! They were a gift from a friend actually. I should’ve bought some a while ago!
You. Look. Fabulous. You really do! I love the shirt and especially love the seriously awesome edginess you added w/ the leather wings and snake skin pumps! Looking good girl! I’ve always loved edgy fashion and you prove why in this post.
Werk it girl! Covergirl!
Aww Steph! That’s so sweet! Thank you so much!
Lindsay, you missed your calling girl. You should’ve been a model. You can rock everything! Looks good.
Oh Kim! That’s so sweet of you! I wish I could say that was true! The traveling, the art, the clothes!! I know it’s not all glamour, but it seems pretty awesome to me!
Oh tell me about feeling so safe. But I love those wings, Ive been wanting to get a harness. You are looking great!
